Modelunitednations.it is the website dedicated to Model United Nations (MUN) programs supervised by Consules.
Consules is a nonprofit organization that since its constitution in 2005 has worked on a global level to promote international programs for new generations. Consules is part of the network of the main institutions that promote peaceful coexistence and civil progress. Exclusive partner of WIFUNA in Italy for the creation of international MUNs, it represents Italy in the United Nations Youth Association Network (UNYANET). Consules’ headquarters are based at the Haas-Spithover building in Rome, Italy.
The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating more than 100 national United Nations Associations. The aim of WFUNA is to strengthen and improve the United Nations through the engagement of people with a global mindset and who support international cooperation. WIFUNA’s main headquarters are based at One UN Plaza in New York City and at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
The International Model United Nations Association (IMUNA) is an American nonprofit organization affiliated with the United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI). Founded in 1979, IMUNA is dedicated to promoting global education through Model United Nations. Its programs are aimed at teaching participants excellent communication and decision-making skills through negotiation activities that promote the power of compromise and consensus. IMUNA’s headquarters are in New York City, USA.
UNA-USA, United Nations Association
The United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA) is a nonprofit organization part of the United Nations Foundation. Its mission is to inspire and mobilize civil society through educational programs and events aimed at supporting the principles and work of the United Nations. UNA-USA promotes constructive United States Leadership in order to achieve the goals of the United Nations Charter. UNA-USA’s headquarters are in New York, USA.
The Lebanese American University is a private higher education institution. It operates under a charter from the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Its mission is civil engagement, the education of the whole person towards academic excellence and the formation of leaders in a world in constant evolution. LAU’s main headquarters are in Lebanon in Beirut and Byblos and in New York City, USA.
NCCA - NMUN
The National Collegiate Conference Association (NCCA), now officially known as NMUN, is an American nonprofit organization. Its roots go back to 1927 when the first Model simulation in history was organized at Syracuse University. It was a simulation of what was then called the League of Nations, organization nowadays replaced by the United Nations. NMUN organizes its activities in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI) and is a member of UN Academic Impact. NMUN’s headquarters are in Minneapolis, USA.
Harvard WorldMUN is a nonprofit organization founded in 1992 at Harvard University. Its aim is to promote the values of the United Nations through a Model United Nations that every year is held in a different location around the world. Defined by the New York Times as the “Olympics of Model United Nations”, Harvard WorldMUN is an organization distinguished by a strong spirit of cooperation and it represents Harvard University in the World. Harvard WorldMUN’s headquartes are in Cambridge, USA, at Harvard University.
The United Nations Youth Association Network (UNYANET) is the international umbrella organization of UN student associations. Set up under art. 60 of the Swiss Civil Code, it has dozens of national member organizations in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America, in addition to more than 20000 individual members. UNYANET has partnerships with the United Nations Information Services in Geneva and Vienna and the United Nations Department of Public Information in New York. UNYANET’s headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland.

Awards and notable achievements
We are the most awarded organization in the world. Our “trophy cabinet” counts hundreds of awards won by our students and by partner schools/universities that in the past years entrusted the training of their delegations to Consules. Here are some of our main international achievements:
In Geneva an Italian university wins an award at WorldMUN for the first time.
For the first time an Italian university wins an award at NMUN•New York
For the first time a European high school wins an award at NHSMUN•New York.
For the first time a European high school wins an award at HSMUN•New York.
Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, president of Confindustria and president of LUISS “Guido Carli” University, during graduation day, presented an award to the president of Consules to reward the association for the high international prestige reached by LUISS at international MUN competitions.
MUN•Rome is the first MUN event in the world to be held entirely at FAO in Rome.
The director of the Consules Research Committee is elected in the Advisory Board during the NMUN closing ceremony in the General Assembly Hall at the UN headquarters in New York.
Consules is elected spokesperson for Italy during the United Nations Youth Association Network (UNYANET) annual General Assembly that took place at Ljubljana, in Slovenia.
Consules is selected as the NCCA-NMUN organizing partner for the first international NMUN in Italy. The event takes place in Rome in November 2014.
Consules becomes president of the United Nations Youth Associations Network.
Consules is selected by the World Federation of United Nations Association (WFUNA) as its exclusive strategic partner in Italy for WIMUN programs.
